Know Which Testing Exemption Applies to You

The Disclaimer Bot tells you whether your product qualifies for a testing exemption under CPSC rules.

Disclaimer A vs Disclaimer B

• Disclaimer A (Code 130.005): For products that are not “consumer products” under CPSA — industrial equipment, B2B goods, or items not normally sold at retail.
• Disclaimer B (Code 130.006): For consumer products exempt from third-party testing. Common example: adult apparel made of plain-surface natural fibers weighing ≥2.6 oz/sq yard.

How to Use It

Select your product category, describe the materials, and answer a few yes/no questions. The bot will tell you which disclaimer applies (if any) and generate the exact PGA code you need for eFiling.

When You Don’t Qualify

If neither disclaimer applies, you’ll need third-party lab testing. The bot will tell you which CPSC standards apply and recommend next steps, including where to get testing done.
