Declaring Product Materials

Tell Us What Your Product Is Made Of

Material declarations are required for both EU Digital Product Passports and US compliance certificates.

Manual Entry

From your product page, click Materials. Add each material with its percentage (e.g., 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane). The percentages must total 100%.

Templates

For common product types, use a template. Select “100% Cotton T-Shirt,” “Polyester Blend Outerwear,” or other presets and the materials will be pre-filled. Edit as needed.

Smart Suggest

If you’re not sure about exact compositions, enter your product description and Smart Suggest will recommend the most common material breakdowns for that product type, based on industry data.

Why Materials Matter

• EU DPP: Material composition is a mandatory field in the Digital Product Passport
• US CPSC: Materials determine which testing standards apply and whether you qualify for Disclaimer B
• Compliance Score: Declaring materials can increase your score by 15–25 points

After declaring materials, generate your QR passport to make the data scannable.
